Trevor Ryan Waddell, 31, passed away on October 12, 2025, in Kankakee, Illinois. Born on December 10, 1993, in Joliet, Illinois, Trevor lived a vibrant and adventurous life that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Trevor was a man of many passions and talents. He worked as a truck driver and had also spent time working for Amazon and at an auto mechanic shop—roles that reflected his love for vehicles and his strong work ethic. Whether behind the wheel of a big rig or under the hood of a car, Trevor found joy in motion and mechanics. From an early age, Trevor was drawn to the thrill of motorcycles and the roar of engines. He loved riding his motorcycle and had an undeniable passion for cars and firearms. These interests weren’t just hobbies—they were part of how he connected with others and expressed himself. His enthusiasm was infectious, often drawing friends and family into spontaneous road trips or long conversations about horsepower and chrome. Trevor’s zest for life was matched only by his sense of humor. Known for his quick wit and often dark comedic timing, he could make anyone laugh—even in the most unexpected moments. He embraced life fully, living by the motto: “Live your life so the preacher doesn’t have to lie at your funeral.” And live it he did—with boldness, authenticity, and heart. He was deeply loved by his family and cherished by countless friends. Trevor was the beloved son of (late)Robert G. Waddell and Tracy Waddell (Doug Sanders); brother to Grail Waddell, Amber (Daniel) Waddell Stuckart and Cody (Samantha) Nicholson; and uncle to Harper Waddell Stuckart. He proudly wore the title of “Fun-ucle,” bringing laughter, energy, and unforgettable memories to every family gathering. Beyond blood ties, Trevor was an honorary uncle—and even an honorary son—to many others whose lives he enriched with his presence. He was a beloved nephew to many aunts and uncles, and a great cousin to many. Trevor’s adventurous spirit extended beyond Illinois—he loved to travel and dreamed of one day moving out west to explore new horizons. His wanderlust reflected his open heart and boundless curiosity about the world around him. He now joins those who went before him: his Father Robert G. Waddell; Maternal Grandparents Cecile Elmore and Burrell Elmore; and Paternal Grandparents Diana Hickman and Robert D. Waddell. Though Trevor’s time with us was far too short, his impact will be felt for years to come. His laughter echoes in our memories, his stories live on in our hearts, and his spirit rides with every open road. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him—and may we all strive to live as boldly as he did. Cremation rites have been accorded.
