Antoinette "Ann" Koca Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Age 91, of Braidwood, IL passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet, IL. Born August 22, 1930 in Clark City, IL to the late Dominic and Mary (nee Vivianni) Ferrari. Ann was a custodian for the Reed-Custer High School for many years and a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood. Ann always had her house in order, the daily dish towel on her shoulder was a must. Her life revolved around cleaning, cooking, keeping up with her garden and the yardwork. She cherished time spent with family, some of her favorite moments were sharing the kitchen with friends and family exchanging and cooking recipes. Surviving are two children, Gary Koca and Deborah (Bill) Howell both of Braidwood; two grandchildren, Vicki (Jim) Ricobene and Sean (Lara) Lestina; three great-grandchildren, Austin Termain, Keira and Brianna Lestina and many other great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Dominic “Junior” (Charlene) Ferrari of Gardner, IL; brother-in-law, Louis King of Bourbonnais, IL; sister-in-law, Nat Ferrari-Schultz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Preceding her in death were her parents, Dominic and Mary; husband, Donald J. Koca (12/11/2006), whom she married September 9, 1950 in South Wilmington; two sisters, Pauline (Lincoln) Reed and Marie King; and brother, Ralph Ferrari. Visitation for Ann will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Braidwood, Monday, May 9, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will also be at the funeral home, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be directed to Lightways Hospice.
