Age 60, of Reddick, IL, passed away suddenly April 7, 2010 in Madison, WI. Born June 17, 1949 in Joliet, IL to the late John and Zola (nee Stoddard) Earling. BJ was a retired salesman. He enjoyed helping his sons with their trucking business. Surviving were his wife, Diana (nee Hanson), whom he married January 14, 1968 in Manteno, IL; two sons, Christopher (Kim) Earling, Sr. of Braidwood and Bobbie (Tammy) Earling, Jr. of Wilmington; two daughters, Carrie (Samuel) Thomas and Terrie (Mike) Joslin, both of Braidwood; six grandchildren, Michael, Breanna, Christopher, Amanda, Samantha, and Elizabeth; three brothers, John (Carol) Earling of Custer Park, Bill (Alice) Earling of Morris, IL, and Steve (Bonnie) Earling of Bradley, IL; one sister, Joanne (Ron) Ruggerberg of Davenport, IA; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were two sisters, Ruth Anne Lowery and Betty Jo Earling. Funeral services were at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., Braidwood Chapel, Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation three hours preceding services. Rev. George Hendricks officiated. Cremation rites were accorded following services. Inurnment was private.
