Age 71, of South Wilmington, IL, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Morris Hospital in Morris, IL. Born October 27, 1939 in Joliet, IL to the late Dr. Carmen and Ann Marie (nee Riffel) Scudieri. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington. Carmen was a Medical Transcriptionist for over 35 years. She loved watching hummingbirds and crocheting. Surviving were her children, Michael (Diane) Landry of South Wilmington, Annette Aichele of Gardner, IL, Lori Landry of Braidwood, IL, and Danny Landry of South Wilmington; six grandchildren, Ryan Aichele, Danielle Aichele, Matthew Aichele, Danielle Landry, Austin Landry, and Caydan Landry; one sister, Bernadette (James) Davidson of Channahon, IL; her former husband, Vernon Landry; special friend, Father Matthew Mazzuchelli; four nephews; and one niece. Preceding her in death was one brother, Jon F. Scudieri. Visitation was at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in South Wilmington, Monday, December 20, from 9-10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Rev. John Hornicak officiated. Judy McElroy was the organist. Interment was in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.
