Donald Francis Davito

March 2, 1939 - November 27, 2014

Donald F. Davito “Butch” Age 75, of Joliet, IL, formerly of Braidwood, IL and Port Ritchy, FL, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Presence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Joliet, IL with kidney and heart failure. Born March 2, 1939 in Braidwood to the late John (1989) and Mary (nee Higgins) (1997) Davito. Veteran of the United States Army. Donald was a cross country truck driver, heavy equipment operator for Local #150, supported the National Rifel Association and the Morris Shriners. He loved fishing and visiting with his many friends and relatives. Surviving are two sons, Donald W. (Buddy) Davito and Dean Davito of Coal City, IL; loving and caring brother to four sisters, Marilyn T. Campbell of Custer Park, IL, Patricia Anderson and Diane (John) Bohrer both of Joliet, and Karen Taylor of Mesa, AZ; one brother, John (Ginny) Davito of Fort Lauderdale, FL; special cousins, Jewel Ann Grace, Frank Davito, Sr., Chester Davito, and Paul and Noreen Klover; plus several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Frank and Ada (Adams) Davito; maternal grandparents, William and Rosella (Kinsley) Higgins; two brothers-in-law, Ken Anderson, Sr. (2013) and Richard W. Campbell (2014). Don was the middle child of six. The chain was broken until we meet again as God calls us one by one the chain will link again. At Don’s request, cremation rites were accorded. Private services were held. Inurnment Mount Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in his name may be directed to the Mount Olivet Cemetery Fund.
