Frederick Albert Grohler Age 54, of Essex, IL, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Citadel Care Center in Kankakee, IL. Born April 2, 1962 in Fairbury, IL to the late Duane and Lois (nee Ronna) Grohler. Frederick was previously employed at Gordon Electric in Kankakee, IL for 25 years and also DSC Logistics in Elwood, IL. Member of the United Methodist Church in Essex. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Surviving are his wife, Cindy (nee Reardanz) Grohler, whom he married July 13, 2003 in Essex; step-daughter, Cassandra Huffman of Essex; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Suzanne Reardanz of Essex; three brothers, Jeff Grohler of Ashland, TN, Vernon (Kathy) Grohler of Beaverville, IL, and Gary (Mary) Grohler of OH; two sisters, Sharon Friesner of Bourbonnais, IL and Patty (Rick) Nelson of Paxton, IL; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the United Methodist Church in Essex, Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour preceding services. Interment will follow in East Cemetery in Essex. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in his name may be directed to the United Methodist Church or to the Donor’s Choice.
