Jeanne Venturini

January 3, 1940 - January 19, 2010

Age 70, of Braidwood, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. Born January 3, 1940 in Wilmette, IL to the late John Leonard and Caroline (nee Diedling) Knapp. Jeanne retired from Highland Park Hospital, following 25 years of employment. She was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Braidwood. Jeanne enjoyed playing Bingo at the Godley Park District and with the Braidwood Seniors, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving were her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Kevin Marchi of Braidwood; three granddaughters, Rebecca Marchi, Caroline Marchi, and Annika Marchi; one brother, Donald Knapp of Wheeling, IL; one sister, Elizabeth (Louis) Owano of Roscoe, IL; her very dear friend, Carol Sheppard of Chicago, IL; nephews, Keith Owano and Thomas Owano; and niece, Cathryn Hodson. Preceding her in death were her daughter, Caroline Marie Venturini; son, Salvatore Anthony Venturini; and one brother, John “Jim” Knapp. Funeral services were at the First Presbyterian Church in Braidwood, Saturday, January 23, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dale Tolly officiating. Visitation was at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd., Braidwood Chapel, Friday, January 22, from 4-8 p.m. Visitation was also at the Donnellan Family Funeral Services, 10045 Skokie Blvd., Skokie, Monday, January 25, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Interment was in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL
