Kay Elizabeth Grant (nee Nugent) Kay Grant, 71, of Braidwood, IL passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL. She was born April 10, 1943 in Joliet, IL. Kay retired from Trinity Services, Inc. in Wilmington following 10 years of employment. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Wilmington. Kay had many hobbies, but flower gardening, shopping, and her cats gave her the most enjoyment. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially around the holidays. Surviving were her husband, Joseph Grant, Sr. of Braidwood; three children, Joseph Grant, Jr. of Braidwood, Timothy Grant of Wilmington, and Kimberly (Mike) Adermann of Wilmington, IL; five grandchildren, Ally Tafoya, Nathan Grant, Kyle Adermann, Ashley Adermann, and Logan Adermann; one great grand-daughter, Mia Prochor; two brothers, Joe (Linda) Nugent of Wilmington and Bob (Kay) Nugent of Pontiac, IL; one sister, Margaret Nugent of Wilmington, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her father, Rudy Monferdini; her mother, Margaret (Earl) Nugent; one brother, Mike Nugent; and three sisters, Elaine Kilgore, Patricia Barton, and Janet Walsh. Cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd. & Crematory, 401 E. Main St., Braidwood, IL.
